Alicia Williamson Garcia Biography

Alicia Williamson Garcia has been given the gift of being able to express the gospel of Jesus Christ via song and the spoken word. Her ability to explain God's truths, along with her award-winning voice, has earned her a national favorite for ministry and women's events. The Bible is at the center of our work. Music can open the heart, and God's flawless Word may fill the heart and alter a life. According to Alicia, worship is fundamentally a response to the truth, not a reaction to circumstances. Alicia, a native of Florence, South Carolina, began singing at her local church at the age of five. While listening to her father's first sermon, she trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of seven. Alicia later earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She joined the current Christian band TRUTH after graduating and released her signature song, There Is A Hope. At 1993, Alicia launched her personal ministry and began leading worship in local churches, ministries, and organizations. Her ministry expanded to include teaching at women's gatherings and instructing congregations on how to worship effectively. She went on to become a well-known Bible teacher, keynote speaker, and television personality. Precept Groups, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, Dr. Tony Evans of the Urban Alternative, Women of Faith, The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, INSP, CBN, In Touch with Charles Stanley, The Gaither Homecoming, and Food For the Hungry are just a few of the ministries with which Alicia has worked. She adds that as she has quieted herself and put aside time to read God's Word, He has opened doors for her that she could never open for herself. Alicia's most recent production is a DVD called LIVE in Worship, which she recorded at the Inspirational Networks Studio (INSP). Alicia Williamson. She is also a resident artist at Liberty University and Thomas Road Baptist Church. Richard Garcia is Alicia's husband, and the couple has two boys, Michael Chandler, and Richard David.
