Alex Montoya is also an accomplished author. He was one of the first San Diegans mainstreamed from special-education in 1980 a feat that earned him a spot in the San Diego Unified School District “Hall of Fame” in 2013. Alex is the former Manager of Latino Affairs for the San Diego Padres where he oversaw the team’s outreach and charitable programs to the Latino community in San Diego County and Mexico.
