Alex Grobman Biography

Dr. Alex Grobman is an historian with an MA and Ph.D. in contemporary Jewish history from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is president of the Balfour Trust that promotes understanding of Jewish life history and culture among communities in the Christian world in order to strengthen Israel's position in the international community via symposia lectures publishing projects and video images. He is a contributing editor for Together a publication of the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants.
Alex Grobman is a member of the academic board of the David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies and a member of the advisory board of EMET Endowment for Middle East Truth. He is a contributor to the Encyclopedia Judaica and the Partisan website and a book reviewer for the Jewish Voice and Opinion.
Alex Grobman is the historical consultant on a documentary about Ilan Ramon the Israeli astronaut who took a small Torah into space that had survived the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. He appears in this film that is being produced by Tom Hank's production company. The film will be shown on HBO in the next several months.
