Aida Turturro is an actress who was born in New York City on September 25, 1962. Her career began to take off in the late 1980s with her cinematic debut in 1989??s True Love, as a cousin to actor-director John Turturro. Turturro made her first guest appearance on the hit television program Law & Order the following year.

She made her Broadway debut in 1992 in a revival of A Streetcar Named Desire, starring Alec Baldwin and Jessica Lange. Eunice Hubbell, a neighbor of Stanley and Stella Kowalski, was played by her, with James Gandolfini as her husband. Later in their careers, the two would collaborate in probably the most acrimonious brother-sister relationship on television.
