While at Stanford he pioneered the use of monoclonal antibody vaccine to block the CD47 signal that cancer cells express. The process is currently being used in clinical trials for different subtypes of leukemias and brain tumors. In 2019 he was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in healthcare.
