Vaughan Jones Biography

Being a part of Praxis' founding and serving as its chief executive for all of its 25 years of existence is Vaughan Jones. He was the Director of the New Horizon Kids Centre for young homeless people in Central London when he joined Praxis. He has experience working with youth. He has also worked as a teacher and with Barnardos. He served as the Chair of JCWI till recently. In addition to actively participating in strategic partnerships, particularly the Tower Hamlets Homelessness Partnership, the Refugee Forum, and the Living Well CPAG, he has served on other Tower Hamlets committees focused on homelessness and racial equality. In addition to having a teaching credential, he is a minister in the United Reformed Church and holds an MTh in pastoral theology from Heythrop College. He earned an NVQ Level 5 in strategic management while attending Praxis. He received the renowned Order of Bernardo O'Higgins in appreciation for his assistance to Chilean immigrants under the dictatorship in Chile.
