Tim Green Biography

Tim was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the NFL Draft after playing All-American football while studying literature at Syracuse University. Tim spent eight years as a top defensive player for the Falcons. Tim began his writing career when he was an NFL player and also attending law school. Tim had written his first book and graduated from the bar by the time he left football in 1994. He started working as a television broadcaster in addition to those two positions, doing so for FOX NFL Sunday and other programs including Battlebots, Good Morning America, Court TV, A Current Affair, and most recently, Find My Family. Tim started writing a series of young adult novels for readers based on his experiences as an athlete and a coach after penning more than a dozen books for adults. Tim has already talked to more than 400,000 kids in over 800 schools around the country on the value of education and character development in addition to the fun and advantages of reading. Tim is a board member for both the National Writing Project and the Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, New York. He resides in Upstate New York with his wife, Illyssa, his five children, and two dogs. Tim likes to go boating, fishing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his family and friends when he isn't writing.
