Sufe Bradshaw Biography

Sufe Bradshaw, a native of Chicago, was up with nine siblings and was taught the importance of perseverance and hard work by both her Ghanaian mother and a Sicilian father. She started her journey as an actor at the Los Angeles City Theatre Academy, where she also obtained a theatre degree. She trained with Ben Guillory at The Robey Theatre and in Lee Strasberg's famed Actor's Studio, both of which were soon following her rigorous study at The Academy and were overseen by Martin Landau. With the help of The Meisner Technique, Jimmy DiStefano's rigorous cold reading sessions, Allan Miller's rehearsal workshop, and Wallace Audition Techniques, Bradshaw continued to hone her art. In Los Angeles, theatrical performances of The Nat Turner Rebellion, A Raisin in the Sun, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, The Glass Menagerie, Hamlet, Summer and Smoke, and Burn This have all starred Bradshaw. In addition to making appearances on Carlos Mencia's sketch comedy series Mind of Mencia (Comedy Central) and MTV's The Hard Times of RJ Burger, Bradshaw made his first network television debut on the CBS thriller Cold Case. Soon after, she landed the lead role in the indie drama "Speechless" in 2006, which was followed by the television film "Mr. Jackson's Neighborhood" in 2007. She also had an appearance in the Wayans Brothers' "Dance Flick" and J.J. Abram's "Star Trek" for Paramount Pictures. These intriguing parts paved the way for a number of endeavors, including a part in the Hallmark film "Fixing Pete." ER (NBC), Bones (FOX), Prison Break, FlashForward (ABC), and Trust Me were among the prominent television series that the energetic actress immediately booked roles in as her career began to take off (TNT). Bradshaw currently portrays Sue, a no-nonsense character, in the forthcoming HBO sitcom Veep together with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, and Tony Hale. Bradshaw, who is one of seven siblings, has developed a particular interest in this issue. She has been helping at neighborhood soup kitchens and taking part in the Downtown Los Angeles Humanitarian Day event for the past six years, which brings people together to collect clothing and food for the poor.
