McCoy joined Avon after a long 30-year career at Johnson & Johnson, where she most recently served as Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee, responsible for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer business areas, which accounted for more than 60% of the company's revenues. Ms.

McCoy began her career at Johnson & Johnson as a researcher in R&D and has since managed businesses in every major product sector, including consumer, prescription medicines, and medical devices, holding positions such as global chairman of the Pharmaceutical Group and head of the JJ Consumer business. Ms. McCoy thinks that strong businesses begin with engaged and empowered employees.

She has constantly supported employee involvement, leadership development, and diversity of thought throughout her career. She believes in Avon's five basic principles of trust, respect, belief, humility, and honesty. Ms.

McCoy received a Bachelor of Science in textile chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, a Master of Science in chemical engineering from Princeton University, and an MBA from Rutgers University. She is the owner of four US patents. Ms.

McCoy was placed #27 on Fortune magazine's "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" list in 2014, a position she has held since 2008. Ms. McCoy is a member of the boards of Partnership for New York, Catalyst, Stonehill College, and FIRST, a non-profit organization that promotes young people's interest in and engagement in science and technology.
