Shep Gordon is a talent manager, Hollywood film agency, and producer from the United States. Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon, filmed by Mike Myers in 2013, is a documentary about Gordon. Gordon was born in Jackson Heights, Queens, in 1945. He received his B.A. in sociology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1968.
He pursued post-graduate studies at The New School for Social Research. He subsequently relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he worked as a probation officer. In 1968, he and his partner Joe Greenberg began managing Alice Cooper after being introduced to the band by drummer Neil Smith's sister Cindy Smith.
