Shelly Brady started working for Bill Porter as a teenager, typing up orders and delivering things in her family car since Bill couldn't get a driver's license. When she had her own family, she reconnected with Bill and renewed their connection, this time as an all-around helper, shopping and doing errands for him and incorporating him into her own family. Her own ambition of being on stage was achieved when she and Bill began recounting his story at conventions and to businesses, initially encouraging fellow Watkins salespeople and later speaking to Amway, Disney, Million Dollar Roundtable, and Nike. Bill wholeheartedly supports Shelly's efforts to write this book and will speak with her on its behalf, either in person or through satellite and video. Shelly, her husband, and their six children live in Portland, Oregon. Shelly has authored a book called Ten Things I Learned from Bill Porter on Bill Porter's life.
