The North Carolina senatorial candidate for the Libertarian Party pours a few craft beers at the bar in the basement of his campaign manager. Later, Haugh served as the political director of the national party as well as the executive director of the North Carolina Libertarian Party. Yet according to Haugh, he had given up on politics as a career by 2010. Due to the competitive employment market, he ended up working at a pizza restaurant, which he enjoys. (He prefers to refrain from using the chain's name in print because, frankly, why mess up the corporate offices like this.) According to Haugh, he decided to run solely because he "couldn't tolerate the notion of stepping into the voting booth and only seeing the Democrat and the Republican on the ballot."
