Social entrepreneur Samir Lakhani is committed to restoring health and dignity to underdeveloped nations. Samir was heavily active in aquaculture and nutrition initiatives in northern Cambodian villages before creating Eco-Soap Bank in 2014. In addition, he has constructed solar illumination projects in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Cambodia.
In his four years of nonprofit work, he has focused on improving sanitation/hygiene, water accessibility, and nutrition. In addition, he has seen directly how providing essential items like soap can significantly improve the health and well-being of underprivileged populations. The University of Pittsburgh is where he received his degree.
