The co-founder and president of Jopwell are Ryan Williams. On the same trading floor as his co-founder Porter Braswell, Ryan worked as an analyst in foreign currency sales at Goldman Sachs before starting Jopwell. While working on Wall Street, he became passionate about expanding the dialogue surrounding workplace diversity and the possibilities accessible to disadvantaged groups. To assist Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American talent with connections and tools to open doors for professional growth, Ryan left Wall Street in 2014 and co-founded Jopwell with Porter. Ryan and Porter have transformed Jopwell from a web-based platform with dozens of the top businesses in America as partners into a vital tool that helps thousands of connections happen between its users and partner employers. Jopwell has many business partners, including Airbnb, BlackRock, Pinterest, The San Francisco 49ers, Bloomberg, and Northwell Health. These partners span the financial, technology, healthcare, sports, and publishing sectors. In addition, Jopwell took part in the summer 2015 class of Y Combinator, receiving backing and money from illustrious investors, including Joe Montana, Magic Johnson Enterprises, Andreessen Horowitz, Kapor Capital, Omidyar Network, and the San Francisco 49ers. Jopwell was recognized as one of the Entrepreneur's "100 Most Brilliant Companies" and one of Fast Company's "Most Innovative Companies" in the enterprise category in 2017. Also, Ryan was listed among the "100 Most Creative People in Business" by Fast Company in 2017 and the "30 Under 30" by Inc. Magazine in 2016. These lists honor innovative thinkers and burgeoning businesspeople from a variety of backgrounds. He has given keynote addresses at conferences by NABA Inc. and the 2016 Next Gen Conference, among others. Ryan graduated with a degree in finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
