Rob Harmon Biography

Rob Harmon is the CEO and President of EnergyRM, where he leads the company's efforts to conduct Metered Energy Efficiency trials in collaboration with selected utilities across the United States. Before this role, he served for a decade as the Chief Innovation Officer and Senior Vice President for the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). During his tenure, he created and launched the first carbon calculator online and closed the first retail REC transaction in the US, laying the foundation for today's green power offerings. In 2004, he was recognized with the national Green Power Pioneer Award for his contribution to establishing the retail renewable energy certificate market and his efforts to ensure a thriving and credible voluntary market in the US. Harmon is also known for conceiving and directing the development of BEF's Solar 4R Schools program. In addition, he contributed chapters to the book "Voluntary Carbon Markets: A Business Guide to What They Are and How They Work." He holds a degree from Hampshire College and has also done an executive study at the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
