Rachael Chong is a social entrepreneur and the founder of Catchafire. This platform connects skilled volunteers with nonprofits in need of their expertise. Chong is a graduate of New York University and holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University. Before founding Catchafire, Chong worked as a hedge fund analyst and consultant for global nonprofits.
In 2009, Chong launched Catchafire with the goal of making it easier for nonprofits to access skilled volunteers and for volunteers to find meaningful opportunities to give back. Catchafire’s platform matches nonprofits with volunteers based on their skills and interests, enabling them to collaborate on short-term projects that help nonprofits build capacity and achieve their goals.
