Before joining the Amazon AVS team, Mariel worked for multiple start-ups in Silicon Valley working on the successful definition and launch of several new technologies from concept through high volume production, including the revolutionary Keyssa Kiss Connectivity solid state connector, the Atmel XSense flexible touch sensor, Validity’s fingerprint sensor and several generations of Synaptic’s touch products. Mariel has a BA in Business Economics and started her career in toys, as a Product Marketing/Product Management Manager at Fisher-Price and Philips Electronics. After moving to the US for Philips, she worked on the Philips Nino Windows PDA, the predecessor of the smartphone.
