Ambassador Ken Adelman was an active participant and is a lively and informative story-teller on how President Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War. Adelman is the author of the highly-acclaimed new book Reagan at Reykjavik: Forty Eight Hours that Ended the Cold War and Executive Producer of an upcoming feature film Reykjavik, starring Michael Douglas as Reagan and Christophe Waltz as Mikhail Gorbachev at that summit.
As the U.S. Arms Control Director, Adelman accompanied President Reagan on his superpower summits and was at his side at Reykjavik. He was previously a U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
