Hannah Storm is an award-winning journalist, a pioneer in the field of sports broadcasting for women, and a published author.

Storm hosts the weekday edition of SportsCenter from 9am to noon eastern time, and during the NFL season hosts the Sunday edition of SportsCenter, leading into the network’s NFL coverage. Storm also acted as co-host of the network’s coverage of the 2009 US Open.

In 2008, Storm created Brainstormin Productions. Her first project was a documentary chronicling the rivalry between Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova for ESPN’s 30 for 30 film series. Storm also created the Hannah Storm Foundation, which raises awareness and provides treatment for children suffering from debilitating and disfiguring vascular birthmarks. Storm is the author of two books: Notre Dame Inspirations and Go Girl!: Raising Healthy, Confident and Successful Daughters through Sports.

As anchor for CBS’ The Early Show from 2002 to 2007, Storm helped lead the network coverage of major news events including the war in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, Super Bowls XLI and XXXVIII, and the Presidential campaigns of 2004 and 2008. Storm has interviewed a host of major newsmakers including President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and Senators John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama.

In addition to her duties on The Early Show, Storm hosted shows for the award-winning CBS newsmagazine 48 Hours. She also acted as co-host of the network’s CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade for five years. Storm reported on Super Bowl XXXVII for The Late-Late Show and acted as a presenter for the network’s broadcast of the Academy of Country Music Awards. In 2007, she conceived and wrote a daily blog for CBSNews.com, which featured behind-the-scenes stories of inspirational women.

Prior to her role at CBS News, Storm was an anchor and reporter for NBC Sports for ten years, where she had several history-making achievements. She became the first woman to serve as solo anchor of a major network sports package, anchoring the NBA on NBC from 1997 to 2002. Storm also became the first female host of a Major League Baseball package, anchoring NBC’s coverage of The Baseball Network and the 1995, 1997, and 1999 World Series. Storm was the network’s only female host for four Olympic Games including the late-night programs from Barcelona and Atlanta, where she anchored coverage of the Olympic Park bombing. She also anchored both the daytime and weekend programs from Sydney and Salt Lake City.

Before joining NBC Sports, Storm was the first female anchor for CNN’s Sports Tonight from 1989 to 1992. She also hosted Major League Baseball Preview for the cable channel and reported from spring training, the baseball playoffs, and the Daytona 500. Storm was the only female host of the 1990 Goodwill Games from Seattle for TBS.
