Elaine Ardizzone Biography

Elaine Ardizzone has been teaching wine and gastronomy workshops since 1993 when she graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. She has built and maintained many successful restaurants and companies in Colorado and San Diego, where she made daily specialty desserts and designed general themes, menus, and wine lists. Her diverse hospitality experience, as well as her extensive food and oenological expertise, make her ideally qualified to build and tailor food and beverage programs that educate and enrich the overall F&B experience. Elaine earned her Certified Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers at the World Trade Center in New York and has been teaching wine and food seminars to the general public and the trade for many years. With her partner Donna Cellere, she co-created and co-founded Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. This woman-run business in San Diego creates bespoke cakes and sweets for retail and wholesale. It's been featured on TLC's Fabulous Cakes, Food Network's Road Tasted with the Neelys, TLC's Ultimate Cake-Off!, and just won Food Network's Cupcake Wars! The company's mission is to enjoy life while appreciating what you do for a living, and their concentration is on gorgeous and imaginative cakes with healthy elements sneaked into them.
