Ed Sanders is a carpenter, actor, and television personality from England. Sanders was born in the Wimbledon neighborhood of London. To keep himself occupied between acting engagements, he learned carpentry at his father's request. He was cast as Eddie Moliano in the Sky1 series Dream Team in 1999. He began his career as a reporter for the morning show RISE and went on to anchor the UK edition of Fear Factor. Sanders, his wife, and his son relocated to the United States in 2004. He was hired to serve as a carpenter and designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, when he was seriously injured after a knife slashed into his hand, nearly severing his thumb. He returned to the program after months of surgery and treatment.
