Dr. Peter Drobac Biography

PETER DROBAC MD MPH is the Director of Inshuti Mu Buzima Partners In Healths sister organization in Rwanda. He is an internist pediatrician and infectious disease specialist with over 10 years of experience in global health delivery. He has lived and worked in rural Rwanda since 2005 working closely with the Rwandan government to provide high quality health care and social services to nearly 1 million people in three rural districts and driving health system innovations to scale. Peter continues to practice in Boston through the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Womens Hospital and teaches global health and social medicine at Harvard.
As the book discussion group of the NYC Community of Concern has recently finished reading Mountains Beyond Mountains Dr. Drobac will give a casual presentation on the development and projects of PIH since Mountains Beyond Mountains left off from 2005 onward - speaking specifically to his own journey with PIH and his most profound work in Rwanda. The majority of the evening will then be spent in question-answer and discussion.
