Dr. Kim Hoogeveen Biography

Dr. Kim Hoogeveen is the creator and owner of MindSet®, an innovative leadership training,organizational consultation, and executive coaching company. Using Dr. Hoogeveen’s expansive collection of original content, which has now become the MindSet leadership toolbox, Kim has presented to executive groups throughout the United States and provided leadership training, as well as individual coaching and consulting support, to literally hundreds of owners and CEOs.

Prior to his full-time commitment to MindSet in 2011, Dr. Hoogeveen was the founding President & CEO of QLI, a premier healthcare and rehabilitation center for survivors of brain or spinal cord injury. During his 23 years at the helm of the organization, QLI grew to be the largest specialized center of its kind in the United States, developing over $100,000,000 in facilities and gaining a national reputation for innovation and clinical excellence.

Combining his background in organizational and behavioral psychology, with an unusual opportunity to work alongside many of the most successful business, political, and military leaders in the region, Dr. Hoogeveen developed a coherent model for business leadership based on his Seven Principles of Leadership©. Dr. Hoogeveen is a licensed psychologist, specializing in cognitive and organizational psychology, holding his doctorate from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. In addition to his experience as a CEO and psychologist, Kim has over twenty years of experience as a labor mediator and arbitrator. He has served as a board member for several organizations, and on advisory boards for local businesses and a university. Kim was awarded Goodwill’s Nebraska Man of the Year designation, and in 2009 he became the youngest individual inducted into Nebraska’s prestigious Ak-Sar-Ben Court of Honor in recognition of his wide-ranging professional accomplishments.
