Deb Xavier Biography

Businesswoman, international speaker and founder of Jogo de Damas, Deb Xavier believes in the social impact of women's economic empowerment. She is one of the top Brazilian experts in Women Entrepreneurs and Female Economy.

Autodidact, she studied Creative Entrepreneurship at Perestroika and is certified in Cultural Economics, Management and Development by OBEC (Centre for Creative Economy UFRGS), where she took classes with Arjo Klamer, chair of ACEI - International Association of Cultural Economics. She is currently studying International Relations at UFRGS.

In 2012 she founded Jogo de Damas (a initiative for women's economic empowerment and professional development) and gained national and international recognition, being invited to lecture and participate in the major events in the field. She also has drawn media attention, being subject in various regional and national publications and media insertions. Highlights in her business path: a speech at Google about Jogo de Damas case and women entrepreneurs; first Brazilian Lean In partner, Sheryl Sandberg's NGO that aims to help women to advance with their careers.

In 2014, Deb was invited to participate in the World Human Rights Forum, held in Marrakesh, Morocco, where she spoke about Women's Leadership and facilitate a workshop on Entrepreneurship.

Deb also attended the Youth and International Policy Seminar in Brasilia, with the participation of the UN and the Foreign Ministry as a guest of General Secretariat of the Presidency.
