Anne Finucane Biography

Anne M. Finucane is a vice chairman and member of Bank of America's executive management team. She is in charge of Bank of America's strategic positioning and oversees the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities. As part of this, she is responsible for the company's communication to shareholders on social and governance problems, the implementation of creative capital deployment strategies, and the expansion of the company's environmental business prospects to support the overall responsible growth plan. In addition, she is in charge of public policy, customer research and analytics, worldwide marketing, and communications. As head of Bank of America's worldwide ESG Committee, Finucane oversees the bank's $125 billion environmental business effort, including its $10 billion Catalytic Finance Initiative, which mobilizes market finance to bring fresh investment into high-impact clean energy projects. She is in charge of the company's $1.2 billion Community Development Financial Institution portfolio and assists in the management of Bank of America's 10-year, $1.5 trillion community development lending and investing objective — the largest of its kind ever set by a U.S. financial institution. She also serves as head of the Bank of America Philanthropic Foundation, which has a $2 billion charitable giving objective over a 10-year period. Finucane now serves on the boards of Carnegie Hall, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, the American Ireland Fund, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, CVS Health, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Partners Healthcare, and Special Olympics. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Foreign Affairs Policy Board of the United States State Department.
