Amanda Moore was born in Idaho. She was brought up in a military family and grew up in many different parts of the world, along side her father and older brother. Amanda started college at 15 and originally wanted to become a veterinarian, but a chance encounter led her to considering a modeling career instead.
Amanda’s big break came when she shot a “cowgirl” story for Amica by none other than Patrick Demarchelier. Since then, she burst onto the scene and has been consistently working with the industry’s best photographers such as Steven Meisel, Bruce Weber, Steven Klein, Nathaniel Goldberg, Nicolas Moore, Michael Sanders, Regan Cameron, Robert Wyatt, Hans Fourer, and Peter Lindbergh to name a few.
