Psychologist and popular science author Angela Duckworth and motivational speaker Marcus Buckingham were both named as keynote speakers for this year’s Workfront Leap 2018 User Conference that is happening in Nashville, Tennessee between April 30th and May 3rd at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. The two of them are looking to inspire the audience on a whole new level, and they plan to bring together some of the newest and latest modern work management topics into a discussion. There will be over 100 breakout sessions to help customers improve the way they make teams efficiently and the way they work. In addition to that, Workfront will also be announcing the winner for their fourth annual Lion Awards.
Duckworth has a Ph.D. in psychology went to school and graduated from Harvard College in 1992 where she earned her A.B. in neurobiology. Afterward, she went on to study and graduated with her Master of Science from the University of Oxford in 1996. Her doctoral degree was earned in 2006 from the University of Pennsylvania, and in 2013 Duckworth was the winner of the MacArthur Genius Fellowship. In addition to that, Dr. Duckworth is an author and her first book titled “Girl: The Power of Passion and Perseverance” which was released in May of last year.
Buckingham is from just outside of London and has learned to overcome a great hurdle of not being able to speak well during his youth. In fact, at the age of 13 was the first time that he was ever able to vocalize himself. He ended up studying at Cambridge University where he studied Social and Political Sciences during the mid-1980s. In 2006, Buckingham started The Marcus Buckingham Company in order to create his own management training programs and tools, and it helped him to launch a series of other products. In addition to that, he has also written a number of published articles.
Duckworth and Buckingham will be speaking at this year’s Leap 2018 Workfront event later this spring, and it is sure to be a standout show. There will be lots of people sharing stories, thoughts, and words of wisdom, but there will also be many breakout sessions to really dig deep into the important information.
